Wood Lawn & Landscaping, LLC is looking for dependable, motivated individuals to join our growing Landscape Construction Team
.
Whether you have years of landscape construction experience or are looking for an opportunity to learn a skilled trade, we want to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to work with a professional team building patios, walkways, retaining walls, drainage systems, planting beds, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, and other outdoor living improvements.
No previous landscape construction experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, is dependable, willing to learn, and takes pride in doing quality work.
About the PositionAs a Landscape Construction Team Member, you will work as part of a crew installing residential and commercial landscape construction projects.
You will learn and develop skills in excavation, grading, drainage, hardscaping, planting, irrigation, outdoor lighting, equipment operation, and other areas of landscape construction.
As your skills and leadership abilities develop, you will have opportunities to take on additional responsibility and advance within the company.
What You'll Do- Work as part of a landscape construction crew.
- Assist with the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, drainage systems, planting beds, sod, irrigation systems, outdoor lighting, and other landscape improvements.
- Perform excavation, grading, soil preparation, material installation, and jobsite cleanup.
- Learn to safely operate skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, saws, and other equipment.
- Safely operate company trucks and trailers when qualified.
- Follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Learn to read and understand landscape plans and installation specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
- Communicate with crew leaders and management regarding jobsite conditions and needs.
- Take care of company equipment, tools, vehicles, and materials.
- Work safely and follow company safety procedures.
- Represent Wood Lawn & Landscaping professionally while working at customer properties.
- Continue developing your skills and knowledge of landscape construction.
Previous landscape construction experience is helpful but not required. We will consider candidates with experience in:
- Landscape installation
- General construction
- Hardscaping
- Irrigation
- Grading or excavation
- Masonry
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical work
- Equipment operation
- Agriculture or other outdoor trades

Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 75 pounds.
- Repeatedly bend, kneel, stand, walk, and work with hand tools.
- Work outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and changing weather conditions.
- Perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Safely perform assigned tasks with appropriate training.
