Hollis Creek- Civil​/Mechanical Equipment Operator; Non Driver, Electrical

Job Overview

Operate heavy civil and mechanical equipment for Primoris Renewable Energy projects, specifically focusing on electrical infrastructure and trenching operations. This role is non-driving, primarily involving on-site equipment operation and support for electrical installations.

• Operate excavators, trenchers, backhoes, skid steers, and other heavy equipment for trenching, excavation, and back filling related to electrical conduit and cable installation.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while operating equipment in a construction environment.
• Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment on job sites.
• Support the electrical team with various tasks, including but not limited to, pulling cable, setting foundations, and general site preparation.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience operating heavy civil and mechanical equipment in a construction or industrial setting.
• Proven experience with trenching and excavation for electrical infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Ability to operate various equipment types, including excavators, trenchers, backhoes, and skid steers.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or schematics related to trenching and electrical installations.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
