GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Must have experience with these seven basic qualification factors are applicable to the FWS ANG Dual Status Technician position:

  • Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, accurately
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Skilled in duties such as, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes.
  • Ability to format and write English in reports and presentation formats.
  • Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings.
  • Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting material.
  • Skilled in training, mentoring, leading, and problem-solving
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
  • Must have the experience or training demonstrating that you have the ability to repair, overhaul, rebuild, align, and adjust complete multi-systems such as the electronics package in a highly automated aircraft where target acquisition and tracking, weapons control, aircraft attitude control, navigation, and other complex functions are performed by numerous systems which are extensively interconnected with data feedback loops.
  • Applies comprehensive knowledge of all major units of the complete multisystem, i.e., how they function independently, how they are interfaced in the integrated subsystems, and how the subsystems interact to achieve operating specifications.
  • Able to determine proper sequence of operations and start point in sequential operations in order to pinpoint areas of malfunction.
  • Extensive practical knowledge of the theories and practices of electromagnetic propagation, electronic circuits, computer theory, hydraulic or pneumatic control and power systems, and many other areas covering a wide range of system applications.
Other Conditions of Employment

To initially qualify and prior to appointment: an applicant's military medical record must indicate a completed and current medical physical, medical profile, a cleared drug test; and, normal color vision as defined in AFI 48-123, Medical Examinations and Standards As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee must complete the hazmat certification within six months of employment and complete hazmet recertification every two years.

As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee must maintain the position's mandatory AFSC skill level and continue on-the-job proficiency requirements. As a condition of continued dual status technician employment, the employee must maintain local network access IAW AFMANs 33-152, User Responsibilities and Guidance for Information Systems and 33-282, Computer Security.

  • * To initially qualify and as a condition of continued dual status technician employment, must have the capability to lift, carry, push, or otherwise handle items weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • * To initially qualify and as a condition of continued dual status technician employment, must have the physical capability to stand, climb, walk, bend, crouch, reach, and stoop over extended periods of time.
  • * To initially qualify and as a condition of continued dual status technician employment, must possess a valid state driver's license to operate government motor vehicles, for the state in which he or she lives or is principally employed, in accordance with Air Force and Air National Guard Vehicle Operations Directives.
