- Perform service and installation according to manufacturers’ recommended installation procedures and specifications
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade sliding, swinging, and rotating doors
- Document time spent and complete documentation detailing problems, shortages, and inefficiencies in job-site conditions
- Perform work safely to prevent accidents involving employees, co-workers, contractors, the public, and property
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
- Communicate professionally with customers, end-users, and contractors
- Participate in training programs
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training
- Deliver reliable door solutions and exceptional customer satisfaction
- 3-5 years’ experience of direct industry, store front door installation or relevant industry experience, including storefront, glazing, doors, aluminium frames, electrical, glass, automatic doors, and hardware
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21
- Must be able to successfully obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring; access control systems are a plus
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds with lifting aids on an occasional basis
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, drive, and work in various positions as required
Demonstrates expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated pedestrian doors, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction. Proficient in diagnosing electro-mechanical devices and basic electrical circuits, ensuring reliable door solutions.
