Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Field Service Motor Technician to install, troubleshoot, test, and repair electric motor equipment at customer locations.
Themotor technician will diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues using test equipment and hand tools, as well as provide recommendations on hazardous or non-compliant conditions.
This position followsa
Monday-to-Friday scheduleandis ideal for individuals whoareable to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with availability for overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift work as needed. The successful candidate possesses a positive attitude, maintains composure under pressure.
- Troubleshoot, repair, test, and install electric motors and rotating equipment at customer sites.
- Disassemble, inspect, and repair industrial equipment and motor components.
- Remove, replace, and align rotating equipment.
- Perform mechanical repairs, seal replacements, and equipment adjustments.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to diagnose issues.
- Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures and job site requirements.
- Work independently or with a crew to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
- Complete job paperwork and communicate repair findings with supervisors and customers.
- Support outage, emergency, and after-hours work as needed.
- Hands-on experience repairing electric motorsor rotating equipment in an industrial or shop environment.
- Mechanical or industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with cranes and rigging.
- Basic math and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn and follow job procedures and safety rules.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card & Security Passport
- Ability to complete the OSHA Basic Plus Orientation
- Participation in the DISA Program
- Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
- Availability of working overtime, weekends, on-call, and off-shift as needed.
- Must be able to pass a drug and physical test.
- Monday through friday schedule (8 hour days)
- Competitive Base Pay (based on experience).
- Time-and-a-half pay after 8 hours worked in a day.
- Double-time pay after 12 hours worked in a day.
- All Saturday hours arepaidatovertime rate.
- Hours worked on Sundays or company holidays are paid at double-time rate.
