Location: Bridgeton
A long-established transportation service and repair company in Bridgeton, MO is hiring a Trailer Mechanic / Technician to inspect and repair trailers, chassis, and light trucks. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of trailer, diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience and strong troubleshooting skills. Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair commercial trailers and related components
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Repair brake, air, lighting, landing gear, and trailer door systems
Complete chassis and light truck repairs as needed
Perform major trailer body repairs, including panel replacement, rail repairs, and welding
Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow safety procedures and shop standards
Requirements
Required:
3+ years of trailer, diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment repair experience
Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license
Able to safely lift up to 50 lbsAble to work independently and as part of a team with dependable attendance
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
Preferred:
Diesel engine experience
Welding experience
Heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or RV trailer repair experience
Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment #SJ1 Compensation:$27.00 – $36.00/hour to start based on experience, certifications, and training
