As a Shop Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational readiness of heavy lifting machinery and specialized transport equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems to ensure peak performance, safety, and reliability for our fleet and customer assets.

As a Shop Equipment Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational readiness of heavy lifting machinery and specialized transport equipment. You will leverage your expertise in mechanical and hydraulic systems to ensure peak performance, safety, and reliability for our fleet and customer assets.
Responsibilities- Execute complex repairs and diagnostic troubleshooting on articulating cranes, bucket trucks, and industrial forklift systems.
- Drive equipment longevity by performing rigorous preventive maintenance and mandatory safety inspections.
- Minimize operational downtime by providing rapid-response troubleshooting for both scheduled and emergency service needs.
- Ensure seamless service delivery by maintaining precise documentation for work orders, parts inventory, and labor tracking.
- Collaborate with shop leadership to communicate mechanical findings and facilitate efficient repair workflows.
- Uphold a high standard of workplace safety and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in heavy equipment or crane maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical diagnostics.
- Demonstrated ability to perform welding tasks and utilize specialized diagnostic tools.
- Physical capability to lift 75+ lbs and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
- Experience with DOT inspection protocols and standards.
- Strong computer literacy for managing digital work orders and inventory systems.
- Proven track record of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Possession of a comprehensive set of personal hand tools.
