Family Services Specialist, EHS – Pediatrics

Overview

The Family Services Specialist provides direct support services to families, including conducting home visits to assess needs and assist families in setting and achieving goals. They offer resources, referrals, and connections to community services while maintaining strong relationships with community organizations and raising program awareness. The role includes recruiting and enrolling families into the Head Start program and supporting ERSEA, Health, Family, and Disability services in alignment with Early Head Start and Head Start requirements.

Additionally, they contribute to policy development, coordinate activities to support children's development, draft educational materials, organize events, and manage program databases. These tasks are accomplished through collaboration with the Family and Community Engagement Manager/Disability Manager, outreach efforts, and comprehensive program involvement. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work in high-need communities and rotate among various sites/locations.
