Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist

Annual salary: $4,055.00 – $6,310.00 per month.

Location:

Rancho Cucamonga, CA (may work at San Bernardino, Rancho Cucamonga, or Victorville).

• Assist veteran customers faced with significant barriers to employment through the delivery method of self‑service, facilitated self‑help, and staff‑assisted intensive services.
• Promote the programs and services offered by the Employment Development Department–Workforce Services (WS) Branch to job seekers, employers, workforce partners, and other community stakeholders.
• Provide employment services to veteran job seekers and recruitment assistance to employers following prescribed WS policies and procedures.
• Prepare and make formal presentations regarding EDD–Workforce Services, benefits, and features of CalJOBSSM to veterans, and engage audiences to utilize the America's Job Centers of California as a one‑stop for employment and training services.
• Follow guidance under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Wagner‑Peyser Act, and primarily the Jobs for Veterans’ State Grant (JVSG) funded activities.
• Travel may be required and the position may be assigned to another office within the Cluster.

• Must be a Qualified Veteran or Eligible Spouse.
• Must submit a completed and signed STD 678 form.
• Must provide a copy of DD‑214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
• Must pass a background check.
• Ability to work in person with local in‑person workload; telework may be available under EDD’s telework policy.
