Make a meaningful difference in the lives of Louisianans by helping individuals transition from homelessness to safe, stable, and affordable housing! As a Resource Specialist Program Monitor
, you’ll coordinate vital resources, remove barriers to housing, and connect participants with state agencies and community partners to support successful, long-term tenancies. Join Louisiana’s nationally recognized Permanent Supportive Housing Program and help build pathways to greater stability, independence, and brighter futures for individuals and families across the state.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with housing, community-based services, and/or support services for vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge of state and federal housing voucher programs, food assistance programs, and/or community support programs.
  • Five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
  • Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
  • A bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services; OR
  • An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services;
  • EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
  • Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties
  • Coordinates resources and support services to assist individuals transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing through rapid re-housing.

  • Identifies housing, community, and supportive resources necessary to promote successful and stable tenancies.

  • Assesses and addresses housing availability, barriers, and other challenges that may affect participants’ ability to secure and maintain housing.

  • Ensures required documentation for housing, community resources, and supportive services is completed accurately and timely.

  • Performs duties associated with annual recertification to ensure participants remain eligible for program services and housing assistance.

  • Collaborates with state agencies, community organizations, landlords, and service providers to improve access to housing and supportive resources.

  • Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures that strengthen resource coordination and promote long-term housing stability and independence.
