Position Summary: THIS IS A BILINGUAL - SPANISH POSITION; MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BILINGUAL - SPANISH FLUENCY EXAMINATION. The Migrant and Seasonal Farm Worker (MSFW) Outreach Worker (OW) will work with farm workers, employers, agencies and community-based organizations, promote EDD programs and services, conduct employer field visits, enforce compliance with DOL laws, provide customer service, training and employment referrals, support services, conduct CalJOBS registrations, record services, record case notes, assist with resume building, present at community organizations, participate in job and resource fairs, and log detailed monthly reports.

The position may require travel to rural areas.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Telework is at the discretion of the Department and may change. EDD employees must report to the headquarters office on assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to the assigned headquarters are the employee’s responsibility. Telework schedules may be reevaluated. Travel may be required.

Effective July 1, 2025, certain bargaining units and excluded state employees may be subject to a salary reduction of 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025).

Visa Sponsorship:
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without a visa by the start date of employment.

In-state travel:
May be required to travel for training or to work at other Workforce Services locations. Frequent travel to rural areas may be required. If you need to operate a state vehicle, you must submit to a DMV pull notice.
