As our firm grows, we are looking for a Backend Software Developer to help build and support our technology footprint. In this role, you will be responsible for continuing to build Hagerty’s IT cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate for this position should be passionate about backend development and have demonstrated programming/software development skills.

• Implement and support multiple AWS environments utilizing AWS technology stacks, including event driven architecture, gateways, lambdas, AWS SDK, SAM, etc.
• Design/develop/build/test APIs to integrate our growing cloud (vendor) platforms and handle process automation.
• Build/execute test frameworks, plans, and software that is secured appropriately based on security best practices.
• Create documentation as needed (process flows, architecture, procedures, security procedures, test plans, code reviews, etc.).
• Assist with backend platform integrations and implementations.
• Build Batch processes as needed.
• Provide production support for developed solutions and enhance/refactor existing solutions as needed.

Qualifications for the Backend Software Developer Include:

• At least 1-2 years of coding, software development, cloud technologies, or related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Knowledgeable with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Prior work with a relational database and associated languages, such as SQL.
• Experience with development tools (Visual Studio, Postman, Git, etc.) preferred.

Compensation for the Backend Software Developer Includes:

• Salary range of $60,000 - $75,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
