Position: Senior Frontend Engineer - (React & JavaScript)
Location: California

We’re a growing team, and as we scale, so does our need to expand our engineering organization. You’ll be joining a people-focused company, and as a Senior Frontend Engineer working on Vendavo PricePoint and CPQ
, you will play a critical role in designing and evolving complex, enterprise-grade user interfaces used by global organizations to manage pricing, configuration, and quoting workflows.

You will focus on building scalable, high-performance frontend solutions while collaborating closely with backend engineers, product managers, UX designers, and architects. This role offers a strong opportunity to influence frontend architecture, modernize legacy UI areas, and establish engineering standards across two core Vendavo products.

The Opportunity
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex frontend functionality for PricePoint and CPQ products.
  • Translate business and UX requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performance frontend solutions.
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and propose frontend architecture and implementation approaches.
  • Build and evolve modern user interfaces while integrating with existing and legacy frontend architectures.
  • Take ownership of frontend components across the full lifecycle: implementation, testing, release, and production support.
  • Collaborate daily with frontend and backend engineers, product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders in a distributed environment.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with frontend best practices and performance standards.
  • Define and review technical designs, RFCs, and frontend architecture documentation.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback to other engineers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex frontend issues, including performance and production defects.
  • Influence frontend architectural decisions and introduce new tools, patterns, and development practices.
  • Mentor team members and actively contribute to building a strong frontend engineering culture.
  • Embrace agile ways of working and continuously improve development and delivery processes.
The Skill Set
  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend or web application development.
  • Deep expertise in React, with a strong understanding of how it works under the hood (rendering lifecycle, hooks, reconciliation, performance optimization).
  • Strong proficiency in Type Script and advanced JavaScript concepts.
  • Experience designing scalable frontend architectures and applying appropriate design and architectural patterns.
  • Strong critical‑thinking skills, including the ability to evaluate solutions and effectively work with AI‑assisted development tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with frontend testing frameworks (unit, integration, and component testing).
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and complex enterprise systems.
  • Experience working on large‑scale, production‑grade applications with long‑term maintenance requirements.
  • Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and performance‑optimization skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively drive improvements.
  • Strong drive to continuously learn new technologies, tools, and frontend best practices.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern Dev Ops practices.
