Our client, located in Orange County CA is an enterprise level Telematics and GPS tracking company within the Transportation, Construction, and agricultural industry. They design, develop, and manufacture hardware and related software and tools for resellers that are high-performing, reliable and cost-effective
They’re seeking a Mid-Senior Java/Kotlin Engineer to design, build, and scale backend web services for our telematics platform. This is focused on delivering production-ready services and integrations that process high-volume, real-time vehicle, and sensor data. You’ll own service design, implementation, deployment, and performance tuning using Spring Boot and a modern cloud-native stack.
This position requires the right candidate to be onsite 5 days a week in the Sanat Ana / Fountain Valley.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and develop web applications using server-side Kotlin/Java.
- Design, develop RESTful web services using Spring Boot framework.
- Collaborate with PO to refine system requirements, specifications, and collaborate towards end-to-end integration.
- Proficiency in Kotlin/Java.
- Proficiency in MySQL, including database design, query optimization, normalization, and performance enhancements.
- Super comfortable with Git , CI/CD and collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Teams etc.
- Strong operational experience with AWS services.
- Experience with server-side front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
- Must have hands-on multi-year experience in running a commercial web application/service, monitoring it, and debugging and resolving operational issues.
- bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
