AI First Software Engineer

A client in the Irvine CA area is seeking an AI Engineer to join their team for a full-time opportunity. This role focuses on designing and developing cutting-edge software solutions using AI-First development tooling. We are looking for an AI-Powered Software Engineer who treats AI agents as a primary development tool – crafting prompts, orchestrating agentic workflows, and rapidly prototyping solutions that shape future products.

The ideal candidate has previous Innovation team and/or start-up experience using AI development technologies.

• Design and develop software solutions using AI-First development tooling.
• Craft prompts and orchestrate agentic workflows to prototype solutions and shape future products.
• Collaborate with an Innovation team and/or startup environment to leverage AI development technologies.

• 3+ years of experience in AI with a focus in code generation and software development.
• Experience with AI First Development Tooling (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Proficiency with C#, .NET, OpenAPI, Python, PyTorch (or equivalent), Docker, Git, Microservices, Azure Dev Ops, and CI/CD.
• Python/FastAPI experience.
