Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Pay Rate: $100k - $130k (estimate)

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to help strengthen and scale quality across our IoT enabled cold chain logistics platform serving healthcare and pharmaceutical customers.

This role focuses on ensuring reliable and compliant behavior across embedded devices, cloud services, and customer dashboards. As part of a growing QA function, you will work alongside additional QA and test engineering resources to improve validation coverage, establish repeatable processes, and reduce risk in production releases.

You will collaborate closely with firmware, backend, frontend, hardware, and operations teams to ensure quality expectations are clearly defined, testable, and validated before customer deployment.

• Validate firmware, hardware, and dashboard releases against defined and approved scope
• Partner with firmware, backend, frontend, hardware, and Dev Ops teams to clarify test expectations early in the development cycle
• Participate in release readiness reviews by assessing risk, coverage, and known limitations
• Support investigation and reproduction of customer impacting issues in collaboration with Support and Engineering
• Provide limited assistance with shipment related validation and verification while operational processes and ownership continue to mature
• Contribute to automated testing for critical system paths across device, API, and dashboard layers
• Help evolve QA processes and workflows to improve consistency, predictability, and scalability
• Communicate quality status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to cross functional stakeholders
• Work closely and build relationships with Company’s development partners to ensure product intent, quality, and on time product delivery
• Perform other job-related duties as required

Compensation: up to $130k (possible flex., based on experience) + benefits

• Experience testing connected systems such as IoT platforms, distributed services, or cloud-based applications
• Familiarity with embedded firmware validation concepts and hardware integrated testing
• Experience testing backend services and APIs
• Strong understanding of test design, regression strategies, and risk-based testing
• Experience validating production facing releases and assessing customer impact
• Ability to identify gaps in coverage and communicate quality risk clearly
• Ability to work effectively across engineering, product, operations, and support teams
• Comfortable clarifying scope, asking questions, and pushing back on priorities using data and risk
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pragmatic and outcomes focused, prioritizing impact over activity
• Able to balance execution with continuous improvement while managing competing priorities

• Experience contributing to automated test suites for UI, API, or system level testing
• Familiarity with modern test frameworks and scripting languages used for automation
• Understanding of CI pipelines and how automated tests support release validation
• Experience working in regulated environments such as healthcare or life sciences
• Experience supporting or validating systems used in logistics or supply chain contexts
