SDE III - Backend

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to build, scale, and maintain reliable backend systems for a consumer-facing product. This role is focused entirely on backend application development, system design, and performance  will work closely with product and frontend teams to design clean APIs, implement core business logic, and ensure backend systems are robust, scalable, and production-ready.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and core application logic.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Apply sound system design principles to handle scalability, latency, and fault tolerance.
• Work with databases, caching, and asynchronous processing to build efficient backend workflows.
• Collaborate closely with frontend and product teams to define API contracts and data models.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and incident resolution.

• 4-6 years of experience in backend engineering roles, with ownership of production systems.
• Strong backend fundamentals with hands-on experience in Node.js (preferred) or Go / Python / Java.
• Excellent proficiency in data structures and algorithms.
• Solid experience across low-level design and high-level system design.
• Exposure to B2C-scale systems or consumer-facing applications is a strong plus.
• Experience working in product-led engineering teams.
