Overview
Seeking a Platform Software Engineer with strong experience in SONiC, BSP development, and network switch bring‑up for next‑generation AI and data center switching platforms. This role focuses on low‑level platform software, hardware enablement, Linux systems integration, and switch OS customization on high‑speed Ethernet systems.
Core Responsibilities- Perform end‑to‑end switch bring‑up including BSP, boot loader, device tree, ports, optics, and first traffic validation
- Develop and maintain platform software components in C/C++
- Customize and support SONiC on new hardware platforms
- Integrate switch ASIC SDKs and SAI layers
- Debug issues across Linux kernel, platform software, SDKs, and network control/data plane
- Support software validation, regression testing, and sustaining engineering efforts
- Strong experience with SONiC and network operating systems
- Hands‑on BSP and embedded Linux development experience
- Proven network switch bring‑up experience
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Experience with Linux kernel, drivers, and platform software
- Familiarity with switch ASIC SDKs and SAI integration
- Experience with Broadcom, NVIDIA/Mellanox, or Marvell switch platforms
- Familiarity with SwSS, syncd, orchagent, or sonic‑mgmt
- Knowledge of Ethernet switching, VXLAN, EVPN, RoCE, or data center fabrics
Estimated minimum rate: $200,000 annually; estimated maximum rate: $250,000 annually + Equity.
