Job Description
We are inviting applications for the role of a Release Engineer in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in San Dimas, California. This role offers a long-term employment opportunity where the individual will be part of our Product/QA team, focusing on facilitating smooth and successful deployment of new applications within the IT organization. The Release Engineer will liaise with various teams such as System Engineering, Development, UAT and QA to ensure seamless software releases.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the System Engineering team to establish test environments.
- Work closely with the Development team to cater to their requirements for new application development.
- Liaise with the UAT and QA team to ensure successful application testing prior to deployment.
- Manage workflows through Jenkins and oversee Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Ensure smooth transition of applications from development phase to production.
- Utilize technical expertise in Jenkins, TFS 2017, Windows and Linux Servers, Oracle or SQL for efficient release engineering.
- Interface with Server, Development, Product, and QA teams to facilitate efficient application releases.
- Use your experience in Build Release and Application Releases to troubleshoot and resolve release-related issues.
- Actively participate in release windows to ensure successful deployment of software into production.
- Leverage your skills in Jenkins and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) for effective release engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the role of a Release Engineer or similar role within the Healthcare/NHS industry.
- Expertise in managing Application Releases and Build Releases.
- Proficiency in Jenkins for software development, testing, and deployment.
- Strong understanding and experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) processes and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to the build, deployment, and application configuration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
