Sr. Software Engineer

Independently creates API-based applications from concept to finished product with a cloud-first emphasis using strong knowledge of general programming languages, automation frameworks, and deployment methodologies. Works in a collaborative environment to build and deploy effective and efficient applications with well-tested code.

• Develop new automations and applications for various internal Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) initiatives and integrate with various APIs
• Enhance and troubleshoot existing automation for static and dynamic scanning of software for security vulnerabilities
• Move existing automations to AWS cloud
• Develop workflows using API integrations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Master’s degree and/or LOMA certification

Experience and Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software development and relational database
• 2 years in IT automation and Dev Ops
• Solid knowledge of Continuous Integration environments such as Jenkins
• Full stack developer capabilities including knowledge of the following techniques:
  Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Pair Programming
• Tools such as React.js, Node.js, Jest, Docker, AWS services, and Jenkins files.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly. For example, REST APIs to new systems.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design, and Microservices
• Solid knowledge of Agile and Dev Ops development and team processes
• Knowledge of cloud deployment environments such as AWS

• 6+ years of experience in programming/systems analysis
• 1+ years in software architecture
• 4+ years in IT automation and Dev Ops
• AWS Lambdas and Step Functions
