Platform Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead our Platform Software Engineering team, which owns our research, market-making, and risk management platforms.
• Design and scale the core data infrastructure powering all of these platforms.
• Work closely with researchers developing our price forecasting and grid optimization technology.
• Collaborate with senior leadership across our Research and Business Operations teams.
• Manage both senior IC work and people management.

• 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with 2+ years experience as an engineering manager.
• You are a hands on leader that enjoys staying close to the code and day-to-day technical decisions of the team.
• You have experience leading complex engineering projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• You are an excellent coder, system architect, and mentor of engineers of different seniority levels.
• You are experienced and comfortable building and designing data systems with traditional relational databases as well as cloud-based data warehouses.
• Experience with machine learning concepts and technology is a plus.

• We believe strong foundations are more important than specific technical knowledge, but experience with any part of our stack (Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, AWS) is a plus.
