Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate highly available backend services that power Snapchat’s growth notification platform
- Own the end-to-end architecture for Snap’s Growth Notification systems
- Lead technical direction for the Growth Notifications team
- Collaborate across teams to integrate upstream signals and downstream use cases
- 9+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or a Master’s degree in a technical field + 8+ years of post‑grad software development experience; or a PhD in a related technical field + 5+ years of post‑grad software development experience
- Experience designing, building, and operating backend services or distributed systems at significant scale
- Proven track record of owning highly‑available, mission‑critical systems
- Strong foundation in system design (APIs, data models, storage, pub/sub, queues, and workflow orchestration)
- Deep experience with observability (metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards)
- Ability to mentor and uplevel engineers
