- St. Louis, MO, Leetonia, OH, or Wellsville, PA. The ERP Application Developer is a hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Developer that supports our manufacturing division, Pennex.
This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and deploying D365 extensions using X++, while working closely with business users, IT, and leadership to understand operational needs and deliver practical, reliable solutions.
A successful candidate will have proven, hands-on experience with D365 and X++ development, including extension-based development, build/deployment processes, and production support.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains, troubleshoots, and supports customizations and extensions in Microsoft D365 using X++.
- Designs and implements D365 extensions using Microsoft-supported patterns, including extension-based development, event handlers, Chain of Command, forms, tables, classes, data entities, security, and integrations.
- Supports the full SDLC, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, unit testing, code review, documentation, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
- Manages and supports D365 build, release, deployment, and environment management activities in coordination with IT and business stakeholders.
- Worsk closely with business users to understand manufacturing, finance, supply chain, inventory, purchasing, production, and related business processes.
- Translates functional requirements into technical solutions that are stable, supportable, and aligned with D365 best practices.
- Troubleshoost production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.
- Maintains existing D365 customizations and extensions written by internal or external developers.
