POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lead Activities Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution for organized activities and guest engagement programs. This includes providing leadership, supervision and accountability of the Activities Coordinators at offerings including Little Cedar Kids’ Club, holiday event schedules, seasonal guest programs, festivals and private group recreation activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Lead Activities Coordinator sin Kids’ Club Programs and implement environmentally oriented programs, as directed,which are safe and fun for all participants.
Will act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed. - Oversees&trains associates within the Activities team onvariesoptions and classes that are held on the Big Cedar properties, including open to the public and guest-only activities.
- Manage the setup, execution and supervision of guests' participation in activities throughout major holidays and events. This may include taking attendance & maintaining records of the event.
- Enhance guest experience through fun and engaging activities and programs, including providing feedback for monthly activities schedules and ensuring they align with the goals and objectives of the activities department. This should include acting as a positive role model for guests by demonstrating good behavior, sportsmanship and respect for all guests and other associates
- Conduct and implement group recreational activities which may include games, arts & Crafts and outdoor adventures – tailored to the age and interest of the guests
- Manage inventory for various activities around the property and ensure that all supplies are ordered and/or on hand and available for private group events and general public events.
- Assist other associates in operating the fitness center, swimming pools, guest services desk and other recreational facilities as needed including maintaining the cleanliness and organization of activities and recreation facilities and spaces.

- Minimum Degree
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent - Preferred Degree: NA
- Certificate(s) or License(s): CPR & First Aid required
- Years of experience: 1-3 years required in group activities settings
- Previous experience in working or volunteering with school age children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and associates at all levels
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- The ability to effectively lead teams across diverse demographics, multiple locations and varying communication styles to achieve shared goals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
- Skilled in problem solving and making activities engaging for different groups

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
