Position SummaryThe Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Softball Coach to lead and develop student-athletes both on and off the field. We are looking for a coach who values teamwork, sportsmanship, and the overall development of young athletes. Join us in shaping the future of Laker Softball!
Qualifications- Must meet MSHSAA Coaching Requirements 3.1.5.
- Coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or club level preferred.
- Ability to be employed as a High School teacher or support staff position preferred.

Essential Functions AndKey Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices and conditioning, to improve hitting, pitching, and fielding skills that improves all aspects of the game.
- Teach fundamental skills, strategy, and teamwork in a positive and encouraging environment.
- Direct, mentor, and motivate players during in-season and out-of-season practices and games.
- Collaborate and assist with out-of-season conditioning including the MSHSAA designated preseason practice period, summer contact days, offseason, and weight room oversight.
- Develop and implement a program that emphasizes player growth, discipline, work ethics and sportsmanship.
- Ensure the physical safety of all student-athletes, including adhering to medical protocols and ensuring required paperwork is completed.
- Maintain open, professional communication with athletes, parents, school administration, and athletic directors.
- Coordinate with the athletic department regarding scheduling, transportation, and facility use.
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
- Knowledge and understanding of the MSHSAA by-laws.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the High School Athletic Director, or Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Terms Of Employment- Extra Duties Pay Scale
- Teaching position contingent on availability and appropriate DESE certification.
