Job Summary

The Assistant Softball Coach supports the Head Coach in leading and mentoring student-athletes in a Catholic school environment. This role helps develop fundamental softball skills while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and strong Christian values. The Assistant Coach contributes to a positive, respectful atmosphere that supports students’ athletic, academic, and spiritual growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices and games.
  • Provide instruction in fundamental softball skills and game strategies.
  • Reinforce good sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and responsibility.
  • Serve as a positive Christian role model for student-athletes.
  • Help supervise students during practices, games, and team activities.
  • Support a safe and organized environment at all times.
  • Uphold school policies, league rules, and the mission of Ste Genevieve Catholic Church.
  • Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, school administration, and families as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Knowledge of softball fundamentals and basic coaching principles.
  • Experience working with youth preferred.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Ste Genevieve Catholic Church.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Completion of required background checks and safe-environment training.
  • Availability for scheduled practices and games.
