• Report to and assist immediate supervisor.
• Perform quality work as determined by project specifications.
• Accountable for all tools and materials at the end of your shift.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Practice safety rules and comply with all company safety policies and federal, state, and local regulations. Stop and correct unsafe work practices and refuse to work in unsafe situations.
• Mobilize equipment: loading, unloading, securing, set up and tear down.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools properly.
• Serve as backup to other positions at the direction of management; perform other duties as assigned.
• Lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds daily; seek assistance for heavier loads.
• Grasp and manipulate hand tools, stand, twist, bend, pull, push, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Distinguish colors and use manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Communicate orally and understand instructions.
• Operate motorized equipment safely, avoiding dangerous practices.
• Work in uncomfortable environments due to drafts, noise, temperature variation, or similar conditions.
• Proofread and check documents for accuracy; use keyboard to enter data.
• Comply with company’s drug and alcohol abuse policy.
• Pass physical examination and pre‑employment testing as required.
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.; work at elevated heights, confined spaces.
• Work extended hours on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel).
• Be clean shaven and wear respirator and other PPE when required.

• Predominantly outdoor work
• Exposure to: extreme heat or cold, humidity, rain, loud noise from tools and machinery, potential chemical exposure.

• Minimum 1‑2 years related experience excavating near underground utilities.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A CDL with airbrakes and tanker endorsement preferred.
