Bus Driver

The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for a hiring roster for Bus Driver with Jeff Tran. This roster shall function as a compilation of interested applicants who want to become a part of the Jeff Tran team when vacancies in the department arise. The starting salary is $18.24 per hour. Drivers who work any single shift in which the end-time of the shift is 10 hours of more following the start-time of the shfit are eligible for a "split-shift" pay differential of $1.50 per hour for all hours worked during that shift.

• Drivers provide safe, courteous, on-time bus transportation and customer service on assigned city routes and/or para-transit service; perform pre-trip safety inspections; and provide assistance to persons with disabilities when necessary.

• Must have excellent customer service skills, outstanding dependability, and ability to accurately and thoroughly complete paperwork, work safely, communicate clearly, sit for extended periods, work in extreme weather conditions, and aid disabled passengers.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; and a MO Class B CDL with passenger endorsement within two weeks of hire, necessary training provided.

• Applicants with felony convictions in the last 5 years or DUI in the last 10 years will not be considered.

Hiring is dependent on successful completion of DOT Physical, pre-employment drug screening, criminal history, and drivers license's check.

Jeff Tran operates Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
