OverviewGolden State Foods is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for operating tractor-trailer equipment in accordance with DOT regulations and supporting warehouse operations when yard driving duties are not required.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate tractor-trailer equipment on and off company property for docking, loading, and unloading.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate trailer drop and hook locations.
- Inspect equipment for safety and functionality; monitor reefer fuel levels and temperatures, and pre-cool units per company standards.
- Unload return trailers and clean them as needed.
- Secure trailers using wheel chocks and airline locks according to company procedures.
- Align equipment based on scheduled departure times and update dispatch records accordingly.
- Maintain communication with the transportation management team.
- Park equipment in designated areas and ensure the yard remains clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.
- Perform general warehouse duties and other tasks as assigned.
- Valid Class A CDL with current medical certification required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Range (Base Pay): $31.71 per/hr.
Other Compensation:
May include shift differentials, overtime pay, bonuses, or other incentive pay as applicable to the position and location.
