A volunteer driver is more than someone behind the wheel—they’re a lifeline for rural neighbors needing rides to medical appointments, work, and more.
Responsibilities- Provide essential transportation for rural residents
- Help neighbors reach medical appointments, work, and other important destinations
- Serve as a critical community support resource
- Use your own vehicle
- Choose when you drive
- Choose where you drive
- Receive mileage reimbursement (not income) for every mile driven (IRS Mileage Reimbursement of $0.72 per mile)
- Additional insurance coverage provided by CIMA
- Training and certification provided
- Driving supplies provided including tablet
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Driver's License
- Registered and Insured Vehicle
- Clean Background and Driving Record
