Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

We are seeking a Vehicle Transportation Lead to support the distribution and storage of finished vehicles at multiple client locations in the Kansas City area. This role requires travel between sites, monitoring vehicle inventory, and coordinating with transportation vendors.

This position is primarily outdoors, so candidates must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions. Reliable transportation is required as travel between client sites will be necessary. Mileage and related travel expenses will be reimbursed per company policy.

• Monday – Friday

• 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• Day Shift

• Monitor service levels to ensure external carriers meet transportation requirements

• Dispatch information to vendors to coordinate vehicle movement and scheduling

• Work with transportation providers to resolve service issues and inconsistencies

• Review inventory reports and analyze vehicle levels across locations

• Travel to local sites to audit vehicle inventory and quality compliance

• Create and review exception reports related to inventory discrepancies

• Follow up with vendors to resolve issues identified in reports

• Participate in daily conference calls with vendors and client teams

• Ensure vendor performance issues are addressed quickly to maintain timely carrier payments

• Minimum 1+ year of related experience in logistics, transportation, or inventory coordination

• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required

• Willingness to travel locally between client sites

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Must be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods

• Must provide personal cell phone with unlimited texting
