Local CDL B Driver - Roll Off

A Driver- CDL (B) is responsible for safely operating a collection truck, providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers. In addition, they must ensure their vehicle complies with company safety standards, adhere to all applicable regulations, and complete vehicle condition reports (“VCRs”) on a daily basis.

• Perform complete pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in proper working order.
• Safely operate the truck along assigned routes and to disposal sites, reading route sheets, following maps and servicing each customer as directed.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift, load refuse, operate the compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
• Courteously interact with customers and dispatchers to ensure timely and professional service.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag them according to departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean up spills as required.
• Maintain vehicle readiness by cleaning waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip.
• Complete required route and productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports.
• Adhere to productivity standards and safety policies, and participate in the company’s ReSOP program.
• Perform additional job‑related duties as assigned.
• Exercise good customer service, time‑management, follow‑through, and adherence to company policies and safety standards.

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
