Summary

The Workforce Group a LEMOINE company, is seeking reliable and safety-focused individuals to join our Emergency Response Logistics Support Reservists Cadre Team as Traffic Controllers. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the safe and orderly flow of vehicles into and out of Points of Distribution (PODs) during emergency response operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient operations and the safety of both the public and on-site personnel.

These areseasonal positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Ideal candidates for these missions will be available to deploy within 24 to 72 hours of notification.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct traffic into and out of designated POD areas.
  • Manage the pace at which vehicles enter PODs to maintain flow and prevent congestion.
  • Mark serviced vehicles as needed per site procedures.
  • Ensure safety of vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the site.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and follow site supervisor instructions.
  • Assist with light logistical support as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and adapt to changing traffic conditions.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in traffic control, logistics, or emergency response is preferred.

This role involves working in a variety of environmentalconditions, including outdoor and potentially hazardous settings. Flexibility to work irregular hours—such as nights, weekends, and holidays—is essential,particularly during emergency deployments. The position also requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
  • Effective communication and team work skills.
  • Strong situational awareness and communication skills.
  • Availability to deploy with short notice is required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to various deployment sites.
