Job Description

Delivery Driver responsible for prioritizing automotive replacement parts deliveries, reviewing orders, maintaining a clean driving record, and adhering to company policies at Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts retail locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assessing needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction.
  • Abide by rules of the road and safety laws for safely operating a vehicle.
  • Determine the priority of deliveries including timing and route efficiency when not directed by a manager or counterperson.
  • Receive and process orders, reviewing for completeness and clarity before delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and well running delivery vehicle through routine maintenance and inspections.
  • Safely drive a vehicle in different weather and traffic conditions.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
  • Check in freight, stock, and retrieve parts.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Answer telephone calls and attend to customers.
  • Assist with store inventory or other location’s inventory when assigned.
  • Maintain a clean facility inside and outside by sweeping, mopping, picking up trash, straightening shelves, and rearranging stock.
  • Adhere to scheduled work time unless authorized by a manager.
  • Perform any other job duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent experience or motivation to pursue a GED. Automotive parts and/or customer service experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Basic computer knowledge including web browsing and knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid Driver's License (Class E required for all Missouri locations), clean driving record.
