Position OverviewAs a First Student Part-Time School Bus Driver, you will play a vital role in your community, ensuring students arrive safely for school and return home. The position involves a split shift: an early morning before‑school pickup followed by an after‑school drop‑off with free hours in between.
Your Day Will Include- A guaranteed shift of four hours per school day with no required nights or weekends unless desired.
- Additional hours through trips and charters when available.
- $26.00 per hour starting wage, based on experience.
- $5,000 sign‑on bonus for fully licensed drivers*.
- $3,000 sign‑on bonus for new drivers who obtain their CDL*.
- Medical, dental, and vision benefits plus 401(k) retirement savings plans (benefits may vary by location or CBA).
- No experience necessary—paid CDL training available.
- Child‑ride program for district‑enrolled children.
- No college degree or high school diploma required.
- Military experience encouraged.

- Hold a valid driver’s license for at least three years.
This position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
