This professional bus driving opportunity primarily consists of transporting students to and from school.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals looking for part-time work and those who prefer to work short shifts in the morning and in the afternoon. Extra hours are also available to transport students and staff on occasional field studies.

School Bus Drivers will be working on call throughout the district and will also have the ability to apply to posted vacancies.

• Completed Grade 10
• A valid Class 1 or 2 B.C. Driver's License with Air Brake Endorsement or a Class 5 License with a Class 2 Learner's Air Brake Endorsement
• A clear Driver's Abstract

• Possess the physical condition and health to carry out the required duties of this position safely and efficiently
• Maintain a high standard of safety and exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, particularly with students
• Satisfactorily complete the District's School Bus Driver Training Program before assuming the position
• Complete a criminal record check

• Hourly wage: $32.37 per hour
• Working on call: 5% of bi‑weekly earnings in lieu of vacation and 5% of straight‑time earnings in each pay period in lieu of statutory holidays
• After a successful probationary period and attainment of seniority, on‑call drivers working 20 or more hours per week receive 10% in lieu of benefits
• Permanent drivers are eligible to enroll in a benefits package and pension plan and qualify for paid leave, including short‑term and long‑term disability
