Key Transportation Supervisor

Job Responsibilities
  • Schedule:

    Full time, Monday - Friday, 9AM-6:30PM.
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise routing, dispatch, and drivers to meet productivity, quality, and service metrics.
  • Employee Management:
    Carry out hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution in line with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Optimization:
    Analyze and improve transportation activities, including routes, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Accident Management:
    Assist with conducting thorough and objective fleet accident investigations, contribute to root‑cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions and training are implemented.
  • Scheduling:
    Schedule drivers weekly, taking their licenses (commercial or noncommercial) into consideration.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure all operations meet legal requirements, including FMCSA, DOT, CARB, IFTA, IRP, UCR, BIT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Fleet Maintenance:
    Ensure proper maintenance of trucks, tractors, trailers, and other equipment.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    3–5 years of leadership experience in transportation. Proven track record in the produce industry preferred.
  • Education (Preferred):
    Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.
  • Licenses:
    Maintain a valid California Driver License – Class

    A.
  • Management and Leadership:
    Strong management and supervisory skills, including hiring, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Technology and Systems:
    Skilled in transportation telematics such as Samara, WMS, and/or similar tools like Xata (net), Peoplenet, and Drive Cam. Proficient in Windows-based applications and computer research tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Supply Chain and Operations:
    Solid knowledge of supply chain management, budgeting, operations management, inventory control, material handling, and customer service.
  • Innovation and Problem‑Solving:
    Innovative thinking to design and implement programs.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
