The Food on the Move (FOTM) Driver is responsible for the setup and delivery of the FOTM and Food Access and Resource Markets (FARMs) programs. These programs provide equitable access to nutritious food through client choice and drive‑through models across a 26‑county service area. The Driver ensures efficient and safe food distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities- Oversee and manage FOTM and FARMs distributions, including logistics and volunteer support.
- Operate the 32‑ft FOTM trailer and Ford F450 towing vehicle safely.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
- Provide an excellent experience for neighbors participating in direct distributions.
- Conduct a daily equipment checklist to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
- Assist with loading food for each distribution event.
- Help with post‑distribution clean‑up, proper storage of pallets, and waste disposal.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to become Serv Safe certified.
- Experience working with diverse individuals and community initiatives.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and be willing to travel within the 26‑county area.
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
- High school diploma or GED with relevant driving experience.
- Ability to pass and maintain an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and driving skills assessment.
- Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
- Must comply with all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). including drug and alcohol testing and driving skills assessment.
- Full‑time position, Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.
- Work performed both onsite at the SLAFB facility and in the community across Missouri and Illinois.
- Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required.
