Job Overview

Primoris Services Corporation is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CDL Driver to transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites, ensuring timely and efficient project execution.

• Operate various types of commercial motor vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and flatbeds, in a safe and efficient manner.
• Transport a variety of materials and equipment, such as heavy machinery, aggregates, asphalt, and construction supplies, to designated job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or issues immediately.
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). company policies, and safety procedures.
• Secure loads properly using appropriate tie-downs and securing devices to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, vehicle inspection reports, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and other team members regarding schedules, routes, and potential delays.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
• Represent Primoris Services Corporation professionally at all times.

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Experience operating various types of heavy equipment is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by project needs.

Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
