To provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment.

• 3rd shift:
  Sun–Thu 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Weekends off

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
• Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Onsite:
  The associate is expected to perform responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Willingness to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

• 1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Furnish own personal hand tools.
• Ability to read and write legibly and perform basic math (add, subtract, divide).

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
• Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
• Previous mechanical and PM program experience
• Experience using fleet maintenance software
• Welding ability

• Standard physical demands as listed (lifting, standing, walking, driving, etc.).

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, skills, function, location, and other factors. Base rate: roughly $29.00–$37.00 per hour. Overtime may apply.
