Key Responsibilities Dump Truck Operations Safely operate dump trucks to haul materials to and from job sites
Transport dirt, rock, gravel, asphalt, equipment, debris, and other materials as needed
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions
Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, crews, and customers as needed
Deliver materials on time while maintaining safe operating practices
Maneuver trucks safely on jobsites, yards, roads, and tight work areas
Assist with basic jobsite support as needed when not driving
Safety & Compliance Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily
Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, damage, or safety concerns promptly
Maintain accurate logs, tickets, inspection forms, and required documentation
Secure loads properly and follow safe hauling procedures
Follow jobsite safety rules, PPE requirements, and directions from supervisors
Operate safely around equipment, crews, pedestrians, traffic, and active construction areas
Truck & Equipment Care Keep truck clean, organized, and in good operating condition
Monitor truck condition throughout the day and report any concerns
Check fuel, fluids, tires, lights, brakes, and other basic truck components
Coordinate with supervisors or mechanics for maintenance and repairs
Help minimize downtime through proper equipment care and communication
Team Support Work professionally with supervisors, dispatch, mechanics, crews, customers, and vendors
Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Be flexible with daily assignments based on workload and project needs
Support safe, efficient, and productive field operations
Represent the company professionally while on the road, at jobsites, and with customers
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL required
Previous dump truck, hauling, trucking, or construction driving experience preferred
Must have a clean and safe driving mindset
Ability to follow DOT regulations and company safety policies
Ability to complete inspections, logs, tickets, and required paperwork accurately
Comfortable driving in construction zones, yards, jobsites, and varying road conditions
Strong communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
Ability to pass required pre-employment screening
Schedule & Work Environment Typical schedule may include up to 10-hour workdays
Work may include local hauling, jobsite deliveries, yard work, and construction support
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
Work around heavy equipment, construction crews, traffic, dirt, rock, and active jobsites
