Position Summary:

12-month/260 day position. Pay Classification: $19.37 - $33.66 per hour Salary is determined based on years of experience.

General Position Duties:

• Excellent communication skills; must be able to serve the public in a diplomatic friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to edit routine correspondence for spelling and grammar errors.
• Develop safe and efficient bus routes
• Ensure that all routes and trips are staffed for a driver and bus aide when necessary
• Assign drivers, complete billing and reporting for school field trips and athletic trips
• Maintain proper licensing and serve as a substitute driver as needed
• Create requisitions and purchase orders
• Strong knowledge of computer systems and programs such as google drive, microsoft office, data systems, etc.
• Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment and computers.
• Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner.
• Typing skills; 50-60 words-per-minute.
• High school diploma supplemented by minimum one-year secretarial experience.

Reports to the Director of Transportation

Qualifications:

• Proficient with the following software:
  Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Knowledge of routing software such as Versa Trans, or Traversa.
