Role DescriptionThis full-time, on-site Mechanic / CDL Driver role based in Matthews, MO combines vehicle maintenance responsibilities with commercial driving duties. On a typical day, the individual will inspect, diagnose, and repair trucks and related equipment, perform routine preventive maintenance, and ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements. The role also involves operating commercial vehicles to transport goods or equipment as needed, following all DOT regulations and company procedures.
The Mechanic / CDL Driver will maintain accurate service and driving records, coordinate schedules, and communicate clearly with customers or partners regarding job status and timelines. The position requires consistent adherence to safety practices, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record and familiarity with DOT rules and regulations.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver commercial trucks and related equipment in various driving and work environments.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures related to mechanical and shop work.
