ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective transportation and logistics performance
Lead, coach, and develop supervisory and hourly teams to achieve operational goals and maintain high standards of performance
Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, DOT regulations, and safety standards
Manage labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet service commitments
Monitor key performance indicators, including productivity, service levels, and cost controls, and implement corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to address operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Develop and execute process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and service quality
Prepare operational reports, analyze data trends, and communicate results to senior leadership
Support onboarding, training, and performance management for team members
Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management, preferably in a dedicated, asset-based, or asset-light environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
Working knowledge of DOT regulations, safety programs, and transportation industry best practices
Proven ability to analyze data, manage KPIs, and drive operational improvements
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation management or operational systems
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Willingness to work flexible hours as required by operational needs
