Overview
Position Description
Ryder is hiring a permanent, full-time Material Handler in Kansas City, Missouri.
Warehouse positions pay weekly.
Hourly Pay: $19.50 per hour.
Responsibilities- Perform warehouse functions which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
- Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
- Accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
- Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
- Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours of production.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
- Valid forklift operator's license certified.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to work within a diverse environment.
- Excellent follow-up and dependable work ethic; punctual with good attendance.
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs; ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule across various shifts.
