Distribution Picker

Job Summary

The Order Selector/Picker is responsible for picking, stacking, labeling, and distributing products within the warehouse, transporting materials from the picking area to other designated areas, and ensuring items are placed on pallets according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

• Transport materials and items from the picking area to other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on pallets according to predetermined sequences.
• Follow standard operating procedures and meet productivity goals.
• Mark and label materials with identifying information.
• May drive a riding pallet jack if certified.
• Use RF scanning or voice picking equipment for directed order picking, if applicable.
• Adhere to safety, food safety, and hygiene guidelines for safe housekeeping and personal protection.
• Keep work area clean, remove trash, store supplies in designated areas, and maintain clear aisles/exits.
• Follow safe lifting/carrying instructions for various sizes, shapes, and weights; report defective equipment.
• Report all job‑related injuries or property damage to supervision.
• Support and participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain).
• Perform other duties as required.

High School diploma or GED equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Frequent sitting, hand use, reaching, talking or hearing; occasional standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Requires clear, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.

The noise level is usually moderate. Base pay depends on location and experience. Additional compensation may include other forms such as benefits.
