Warehouse Supervisor, 1st Shift

We are seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor at our new facility north of Kansas City, MO, within the Purina Animal Nutrition business. This role will manage and coordinate warehouse operations at the Midwest Distribution Center (MWDC) located in Platte City, MO.

• Provide leadership, direction and development of 1st‑shift staff.
• Talent management and scheduling of warehouse personnel.
• Supply‑chain operations and management.
• Compliance and safety training and oversight.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience managing people.
• 2+ years of experience with warehouse or distribution‑center operations, including demonstrated progression with leadership or operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, smartphones, and other hardware/software.
• Candidates from Land O’Lakes rotational programs (TAP/MMT/DMT) will be considered.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering Sciences, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience building sales and inventory forecasts, collaborating with internal supply‑chain partners, and/or managing a substantial budget.
• Experience working with DOT regulations, EH&S programs, and other compliance/safety procedures.

• Forklift experience.

Can lift/carry up to 60 pounds. Requires frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements. Must perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment and work in temperature zones that include cold and/or hot environments, dust and chemicals.

Location operates 2 shifts/5 days a week; weekends as needed. Work hours are 6:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. May need to fill in on other shifts as necessary.

$70,800 – $106,200. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of this range.
