Warehouse Specialist – Responsibilities

• Receives all incoming freight and verifies its integrity.
• Performs local pickup of supply merchandise as necessary.
• Monitors stock levels and notifies buyers of critical stock levels.
• Fills faxed requisitions on a daily basis.
• Ensures that all items requested have the correct item number, data entered and charged to the correct customer.
• Performs monthly inventory audits and weekly audit verification at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Restocks shelves from inbound freight.
• Fills requisitions from walk‑in customers on a daily basis.
• Assists all customers with supply needs.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Conducts all transactions in a courteous professional manner.
• Maintains a clean, orderly and safe warehouse environment.
• Is in compliance with all environmental laws and procedures to which Smithfield Hog Production subscribes.
• Reports all environmental issues immediately to their Supervisor.
• Reads and understands the company's emergency notification process and reviews that policy at their worksite.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to lift >80 lbs.
• Must have a valid Driver License with a sound driving record.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Must have a basic concept and understanding of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel).
• Forklift and electric pallet jack usage.

Compensation: $18.25 hourly. Driver's license and good driving record required.
