Material Handler

The Material Handler plays a key role in receiving, processing, and moving electronic devices and materials throughout a climate-controlled warehouse. In this position, you accurately pick, pack, and ship products to meet customer and production requirements, support testing and refurbishment activities, and maintain clean, organized work areas while following strict quality, safety, and data-handling procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, scan, and process incoming electronic devices and materials using RF scanners.
  • Load and unload trucks and move inventory throughout the facility using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and ship products to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Unpackage, sort, and stage electronics for testing, repair, or refurbishment processes.
  • Assist with light assembly, device refurbishment, or cleaning as needed by the department.
  • Operate or support testing equipment for consumer electronics when required.
  • Build boxes, label shipments, and prepare items for outbound distribution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory tracking and assist with cycle counts.
  • Follow strict quality, safety, and data-handling procedures at all times.
  • Keep workstations and warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with material handling in a warehouse or production environment.
  • Ability to operate RF scanners to receive, scan, and process incoming electronic devices and materials.
  • Ability to safely load and unload trucks and move inventory using pallet jacks or similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in picking, packing, and packaging products accurately.
  • Comfort working with electronics, including unpackaging, sorting, and staging devices for testing, repair, or refurbishment.
  • Ability to build boxes, label shipments, and prepare items for outbound distribution.
  • Capability to maintain accurate inventory tracking and support cycle counts.
  • Commitment to following strict quality, safety, and data-handling procedures.
  • Ability to keep workstations and warehouse areas clean and organized.
  • Strong teamwork skills to collaborate with others and meet production and shipping goals.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts.
  • Comfort performing repetitive tasks such as sorting, scanning, and packaging.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
  • In general labor or production environments.
  • Experience with inventory control, picking, and packing in a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment for consumer electronics.
  • Attention to detail when labeling, packaging, and tracking inventory.

Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled warehouse environment, providing a comfortable setting while you perform material handling, picking, packing, and inventory tasks. Shifts include a 6:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. schedule and a swing shift from 9:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., each with a 45-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. You work around pallet jacks, RF scanners, and consumer electronic testing equipment, spending most of the day on your feet and handling boxes and devices in an organized, safety-focused facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.00/hr.
