Job Summary
The Logistics Associate reports directly to the Laydown Manager and is responsible for supporting the transportation of materials and equipment between storage areas, offsite facilities, and the job site. The position requires operating a variety of company vehicles, managing logistics data, and coordinating deliveries to keep projects moving smoothly. This is a project‑based role with an anticipated duration of 5+ months located on‑site in Los Angeles, CA.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with loading and unloading of all assets, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Operate company vehicles, including trucks up to 26 feet, and maintain vehicle readiness (gas, tire pressure, cleanliness).
- Support storage and tracking of MW and vendor assets at designated areas and off‑site facilities.
- Record inventory data, photograph assets, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Pickup small packages from off‑site mailbox center and deliver to site.
- Participate in weekly cleaning and inventory of storage areas and logistics supplies.
- Operate material handling equipment or hand trucks to move or hoist materials.
- Use tools such as steel bander and stretch wrap safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the packaging and storage of artworks in progress and support other installation teams.
- Attend daily logistics stand‑ups and other Meow Wolf meetings, maintaining clear communication with team members.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Adaptable to changing needs and tasks.
- Proficiency with the Google Suite, especially Google Sheets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and drive a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
- Forklift and other heavy‑equipment operating experience.
- Experience fabricating or handling art or other high‑value materials.
- Proficient with tools for assembling furniture and equipment.
- Familiarity with woodshop tools and hardware.
- Strong organizational skills and critical‑thinking ability.
The role is performed in a warehouse, stockroom, and shipping/receiving environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The position requires frequent interaction with team members, vendors, and internal departments. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying materials, often up to 50 lbs. The employee must also operate handheld scanners and warehouse software.
The schedule may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime.
